Default String/Peep problem

Ok i have a reacuring problem that i need to get fixed. My string frays about 1 inch above my peep sight.I use a peep sight with a tube, and it did it to my last string as well. I think it is caused by the tubing hitting the string. Is thier anything i can do to fic this? I was thinking about just getting the area served.

Thanks, Caleb

Caleb, It is possible that serving that area can take care of your problem, but don't overlook the possibility of using a G5 meta peep or Tru-Peep. Either with a quality string and proper setup would give you zero problems. Chances are you would never go back to the tube setup.

I have hunted for years without a tube and it has never caused me any problem at all.

I'll second the idea of going to a tubeless peep. They are truly remarkable and inexpensive.

Caleb,
With your setup, quality strings, bow, etc., you should in no way have to
use a peep with a tube. I've had really good luck with the G5 Meta peep,
and have had really good luck. Good luck to you!

try a RAD peep smaller tube plus you may have too much tube used on your peep... you can also go tubeless but if you do get a good aftermarket string ie bucknasty, wolfen, winners choice, etc......
