A twang (or noise) can come from a lot of places.

Can you be more specific.

Can you hear this "twang" when you tap the bow with you hand?

If so, it is probably an accessory on your bow which needs to be tightened.

I would first check by tightening everything on the bow and shoot it again. If you still hear a twang, then it is a little more complex and we will need more information like where the sound seems to be coming from.

The twang happens upon release. I've checked all my accessories and everything is tight.

I'm also a Black Ice shooter. I have not had any problems with the bow butI'm very curious what is causing your trouble. Have you taken a trip back to the dealer yet? Please post an update when you resolve this. Thanks and good luck.

Just curious, do you have a peep sight w/a tube connected to it. Reason being that my old bow had the same sound. Turned out that the tube was a little 2 short, & when stretched @ full draw, & then released, it actually slapped or twanged the bow string. Took me foreever 2 come up the answer. Actually I had a friend listen/watch when I shot, & he knew it right off the bat. Problem solved. Might help.

When I shot a demo black iceat cabelas I thought the bow was making a twang sound also. I spoke with the tech about it and he said with the bow being as lite as it is that shooting a lite arrow will give it a funny sound when it shoots. see if any weight added to either one will help.
I have a S coil and a mean V on mine and it is very quite with no twang

I bet a css would take care of it. They quiet a bow down more than anything I have ever seen.

I took all my string silencers off after putting one on.

I had probably the same noise you have now. I put a MeanV on it and removed the bowjaxand it went away.
I think that as light as it is may have something to do w/ it.
I love mine. It's asquiet as a church mouse.
