indoor shooting

I have started my winter indoor shooting and I am having a hard time seeing my pins under flourescent lighting,course my eyesight isn't so great either.

I don't care for the no-peep and last winter I ended up shooting with no pins but I kinda like the idea of being able to aim with my pins,with out glasses!Whats a guy to do?Is there an alternative to fibre optic pins for that show up good under indoor lighting?Ron

have a look at the Impact Archery Cosmo sight.
I used it indoors last week and under fluro lights the pin was that bright that blind Freedy who was shooting next to me could see it.

I know exactly what your talking about. The range I shoot at has the same problem. Plus my eyes aren't what they ues to be and I have trouble with 3-D on bright sunny days. For 7.99 I found a small light a little bigger then a dime with a "blue" color bulb. They are made for a key chain w/an off/on switch but I use velcro to attach it to my riser. I know it sounds hokee but it works great. Here in Pa. we can't have lighted pins for hunting so I can take it off easily. Check a hardware store. Make sure it has an off/on switch and not a pressure button. JERRY

Jerry.....In PA you absolutely CAN have lighted pin sights. What you cannot have is a sight that casts a beam directly onto the target.

Although your "Blue" light would probably scare the bejeepers out of any self respecting deer there are quite a few other more low key type lights that do a good job.
The trick to the lighted pin sight is to have it just bright enough to help in those last legal shooting minutes, but not so bright that it "halos" and blots out the target behind.

pretty much stinks indoors......a light would be a big help for sure and that blue number Jerry mentioned is good (I've seen one in action) but I don't know if your league rules will alow it?
Also if you are shooting indoors at a fixed distance why the need for "PINS" (plural?) Why not remove the rest and concentrate on that single pin?

Matt.I stand corrected. You're right. I just never had good luck with lited pins for hunting. The blue light I mentioned not only is illegal it glows brighter then blaze orange. But I'm definitely not above shooting stupid doe's. As a matter of fact my freezer is filled with them.LOL
That blue light as bright as it glows is just the ticket for indoor and 3-D. You should see the looks I get from some of the trad. guys. I laugh and they just shake there heads. haha. Sorry guys. JERRY

I like fiber outside on the 3-D course but indoors I still like a good old gold scope with the black dot. It works great indoors but not so great on the 3-D course in low light.
