Default Cable slide wear

The cableslide on my Guardian is getting worn. The cable closest to the string is wearing a grove in the slide. I have waxed the string and cables every other time I have shot it. The cables are crossed above the cable slide. Is this normal. If it is not normal, what is the problem and how do I fix it?

Thanks

Cable slides are designed to wear out. They wear out so your cables don't. You're doing the right things, so don't worry about it. Just replace it.

As to where your cables cross, it varies. Some bows have the cables crossing above the cable guard and some below. Just take the slide off your bow and let the cables show you where they want to cross.

On the Guardian the cables are supposed to cross above the cable guard. The Saubders Hyper Glide Slide is a nice replacement slide
