Default Chronagraph problem

I have a Beta Master Pro Chroney, that I have used for several years for reloading. I wanted to use it to check my arrow speeds but it will only work, once out of every 5 or 6 shots, the rest of the time I get an error message or no reading at all. Has anyone had problems with a chronograph that works well on bullets but won't work with arrows? Or am I doing somthing wrong?
Thanks

I am not familiar with your chrono but could it be a lighting problem?

Are you using it outside in naturall light?

If so then I can't help.

Default RE: Chronagraph problem

The brand is Shooting Crony, it is one of thier higher end chronagraphs. I am using it outdoors and have tried it with and without the diffuser screens still does not work. I contacted thier tech support, there only other sugestion was to test it with a BB gun and mark the arrow tips with a black marker. I'll try that next but if still doesn't work am sending it in for repair.
