Default best 4" vane?

i posted in bowhunting, but no hits so hopefully someone here can give me an idea of a manufactorer who makes a descent vane? (from what i have found not too many make a 4" vane)

well...what do you guys think the best 4" vane is? i have tried smaller vanes with wraps, but for some reason with my bow and set up with the arrows i shoot a 4" vane shoots the best. The vanes i use now come on my arrow (carbon wolverine 31"), but they tend to frey and won't stay straight (like when my arrow goes through my target the vane gets all messed up).....i need a stronger 4" vane or maybe a very stong heavier 3" vane???? any ideas??

Duravane makes a nice 4" low profile vane in about any color you want, you should be able to get them from your local pro shop or order them from Lancaster archery supply.

Bohning Killervanes are the best 4 inch in my book. Good luck.

I also like the Duravane LP 400. It just works well with my shoot-thru cables. And they are fairly light weight for a 4" and very consistent from vane to vane. That being said, almost any soft vane is going to shrivel up if you are blowing through targets. I suggest you use better targets.

Yeh, for field point or target points get a good morrel bag target. Then as it gets closer time to practice with broadheads you can get a Yellow Jacket. Frankly I'd use the old target for broadheads. It ought to stop a half dozen shots and that's all I ever shoot blades anyway.
