best way is to use a tool that cabelas sells (go to web site you should be able to find it) other way is to use a dull knife....works just as well

I have another question, is it ok if i scratch my arrows a little while i take the fletching off? im going to put some onestringer wraps on the arrow, so you wont be able to see them but does it make a differance when shooting?

Surface scratches are acceptable, just be careful not to cut into the arrow. It's not very difficult to be stripping vanes and the next thing you know you've stripped off several strands of carbon......

Those el cheapo curved blade linoleum knives work great. (And you'll save about twenty bucks.)
