I have a 1/4 inch peep and I still can't see my sight ring on my sight. The sight is as far out as it can go and I have the peep down as far as I can get it without messing up my form and anchor point. I think I could be more accurate if I could see the sight right, but not sure if seeing the ring is as important as I think it may be. Should I be seeing the sight ring? I haven't found any peeps larger than 1/4 inch. Does anyone make a larger peep?
Assuming you are normal stature I'm going to guess that you have a short bow, with an acute string angle. This necessitates having the peep farther up the string so it's farther from your eye.
You might be able to gain some field of view by increasing the bow's draw length a bit. Not something I usually recommend, but it depends on how the bow fits you. This would move the peep a little closer to the eye.
I agree with you that moving the peep down the string is not the best. Neither is increasing the draw length if it throws your body out of alignment.
As Jim said, G5 makes a 5/16" peep. Depending on what you're using now you could just drill your's out, but remove it from the string to do so.
If you should go with the G5, take your bow to the shop and install it there. Try it out before you buy it.
Another option is to buy a sight with a smaller guard---oh boy, there goes more money.
Next time consider this problem when you look at bows. A little longer A2A will not have such an acute string angle. Just shows that shorter isn't always better.

I measured my DL with the Wingspan method and came up with 30.5 DL. Proshop measured with the wingspan method and came up with 31.5 DL, so I don't think I can go down on DL. I am 6'2" 225 #'s so the 30 DL is just right I think.
timberline no-peep. it'll get rid of your peep, and you can be extremely accurate with one. probably a good bit more accurate than w/ a peep that big. you're right too, it really does rob accuracy when you don't know if you're looking at same sight window as the last shot.

RE: Can't see my sight ring
Where's the string on your nose? I have a 30" DL with the Ally and have no problems with seeing the whole sight and actually could use a smaller peep if I wanted to. My peep is 6 5/8" from center of D-loop. With the shorter ATA bows if you have a long DL you have to move your anchor point up compared t the older longer ATA bows.
If you have a solid anchor point for every shot the peep size does not matter.

RE: Can't see my sight ring
Smaller peepswill helppeople who can't keepthe sight in the middle of the peep or can't keep a solid anchor point and form. Many or most hunters use larger peeps and many shoot extremely well. There are guys that use no peeps at all that shoot extremely well. if you have a good anchor and hold accurately you do not need a small peep to shoot better.
mtfreezer seems to have an issue with his anchor or draw and changing peeps will not solve that problem.I do not believe going to a smaller peep will solve his problem and is just a band-aide for a bigger problem.
Anotherthing you are overlooking is that for a short ATA bow on a long DL shooter a 1/4" peep is like a 3/16" peep smaller. The peep is further from your face and that reduces the diameter.

Another thing to look at is peep rotation. If your peep is slightly rotated at full draw, your view will be drastically reduced. I just put new limbs on my bow andmy peep was twisting like an F5 tornado. After moving a few strands around and training the peep, I can see the entire sight.
