Default trapdoor rest

Have any of you had any experience with a trapdoor? The Patriot I bought from a guy came with one on it. Do they work well, or am I better off getting another one?

Default RE: trapdoor rest

My brother gave me one to toy around with. He and his father-in-law have them on there bows and speak very highly of them. They have the deluxe version to make adjustments easier. Mine is the standard one. So far it seems to work well, but I am not completley satisfied with it yet. I feel it has some potential, but I need to get it setup and leave it on a bow for a while to see how it works out. Since it is already on the bow, I would leave it and shoot it for a while. If it works well I wouldn't change, but if you find something you don't like you have plenty of time before next season to find a rest you do like.
