Default arrow quandries

I am looking at getting some new arrows for the upcoming months and have narrowed it to the Carbon Express Maxima 340's and the Gold Tip Pro Hunter 5575. My question is how do these arrows compare to my current ones which are the PSE Radial x-weave Pro 300's? Also I would like to keep the arrow weight down to about 8.2 gpi which is why I chose the maximas and not the maxima hunters, but the gold tip chart says the 55/75(which is the one i will use) is right on the edge of being too lightly spined with a 100 gr. head will I be okay with this setup or could I cut my arrow down to like 28.5" and be at the right spine? My specs are29arrow lengthand weight 65lbs.

CE Maxima 350 will be in my opinion to stiff a spine for your draw weight. I have had a tough time with the 350 spine CE to tune fixed blade broadheadsproperly and I'm drawing 28" at 69#. I'd tell you to look at the 250 CE shafts first. The GT will be closer to your setup. I have one other brand to remmend and for to look at and thats Black Hawk vapor Pro in a 4000 spine. They are owned by GT but they are a different shaft and I have shot them for several years without any problems.

The Maxima comes in a 350 shaft and the spine deflection is .340.

The 5575 Gold tips are a .400 spine (weaker)

Your Pse 300 radial x weave pros are a .359 spine.

The Maximas are close to what you have so they should be ok if what you have now is right.

TFOX I agree the specs read that way and they would match the charts. I found that the 350 were hard to tune with 100 grain fixed blade broadhead but when I went down to a 400 spine they tuned right up tight. Just my opinion but I would not recommed them for someone shooting less poundage with a 28" shaft using a 100 grain broadhead. Field points are another issue and they shoot fairly fine for my set up and they would for his but FBH. Just my .02.

He is using a 29 inch arrow,andasked if he could use a 28 1/2".

29" is a farely long arrow and the spine needs to be stiffer but the bow specs will determine what is "correct".
