You can really prolong your string life by using a good string wax. If you have been doing that & the string is still getting in bad shape by all means visit your proshop.
wax will lubricate the string so each strand will slide against each other, not get hot from friction during the shot and cut each other, keeps it from fraying, and water-proof, apply all the time. you can`t put enought on it
