Default SIGHT..REST....GETTING RUSTED BECAUSE OF RAIN

HOW DO YOU APPROACH THIS AND WHAT DO YOU DO I WAS HUNTING IN THE RAIN THE OTHER DAY AND NOW MY BOW IS DEVELOPING RUST WHAT DO YOU GUYS DO?

Throw a little car polish on it....

...and early enough so that the smell dissipates.

Well, aluminum won't rust so you must be talking about the bolts or cap screws that hold things together. Frankly I don't worry about them too much. Short of coating them with clear laquer or something they are going to rust if they get wet. It doesn't hurt anything.

If it's a target bow and you want it pretty then stay out of the rain or tear the bow down after shooting in the rain and clean all the bolts up. If it's a hunting rig then, oh well.........

Sucks doesn't it. No reason for it.For thecost of the products they could use stainless steel. You can replace them yourself.

Get some flat black paint and repaint the rusty parts then cover with car polish like Frank mentioned

I take all the steel parts off and Teflon coat them.

Bow string wax when new can help keep things from rusting.

oh ok i just wanted to know what you guys did cus lots of times when its raining i just love that weather and then when isee my bolts startin to get rusted it dont make me go out anymore....but ill be sure to take them out repaint them and put some polish

As a preventative measeure I normally wipe it of after im done hunting.
