Default Whip finishing serving

I'm adding an STS to my Drenalin and need to serve the portion of the string that will contact the STS. I've whip finished flys for fishing but not on a bow string. Does anyone know where I can find a how to example on the web?

its easier for those to just tie overhand knots on alternating sides of the string w/ some thin serving - climb the ladder until you've covered your ground, finish w/ a square, clip and burn. not really enough of a run there to worry abouta back whip.

Use a scrap piece of serving as your "whip finisher"

gibblet is right, it's easier just to put on overhand knots for this application.

however, if you want to try your hand at serving, there are some pretty good illustrations of it on the Apple Archery website.

Thanks for the replies. I've now been served and whipped. I went more advanced than the over hand knots and am pleased with the end result. I also am pleased with the addition of the STS setup. I notice a good difference in the sound my bow is generating. I only had time to shoot six arrows this evening but I'm looking forward to getting a bit more time this weekend.
