Default Question about Arrows

I am new to bow hunting and went to the local shop after purchasing a bow. The owner said I needed 5575 in the gold tips so I got those and didnt think anything about it. Today I looked at the sizing chart at gold tip and it says for my arrow length 29.5 and draw weight 60-70 I should be using the 7595. I guess my questions is with the arrow length I have and using a 100 grain point do I need to change arrow sizes or maybe use 85 grain points?

I would be inclined to think what the Gold Tip chart indicates is what you need.....BUT.....if you are below 65#'s you should be fine.

I agree with mobowhuntr on the charts. You can also use this software. It allows you to put in your exact set-up and see what happens when you change point weight and such. The SFA software lets you use it many more times for free than the SS.

I think you answered your own question. A lighter point is going to make the arrow relatively stiffer. Give it a try. Inexpensive experiment.
