Let me start out by saying, I am shooting a 07 Guardian and Allegiance, and am very happy and am loving my Bowtechs.
I shot a 2007 Hoyt Vulcan last night (325 IBO) at my pro shop. I was very impressed. I was not a big fan of the Hoyt models over the last few years, but I like this one a lot. It feels really quick and sits very well in the hand. It reminds a lot of the 06 Tributes. They have the factory STS installed on it, same as on the Vectrix, and it makes a big difference. Actually looks a lot like the Vectrix, with different cams.
My local shop said he is selling more Hoyts than Bowtech or Mathews this year. This is the first time for him in a long time, always Mathews and mor erecently Bowtech. Surprisingly, he said with all the problems with Bowtech has had getting Guardians completed, Mathews is the one they are having a hard time getting most (still waiting for those he ordered in November). He also said, of the three 2007 lines, Mathews is lagging far behind and far as customer liking. He is shooting a Guardian and a Vulcan this year, from a Tribute and a an XT last year.
I shot the Vulcan and Guardian about 10 days ago. Now I do own a Trykon and like my hoyts. I did NOT shoot the drenlin because they did not have one. The Guardian is a sweet shooter but I am concerned about moving parts on the riser like that. New tecnology and I would rather others spend their money on it and see what happens first. If it all works out then good for them. It is a great bow. I avoided shooting the Vectrix at the same proshop as I was afraid I would end up getting one and I am trying to use the Trykon one more year. Well at the range that night a guy had the Vulcan. That things was amazing. It is by the way the same as the Vectrix. Only difference is brace height. It uses the same cams as the Vectrix, limbs and everything else.
As for the waits I have heard they sometimes are taking a while and sometimes they show up right away. I think it is just a matter of when they are doing some up in the color and such that you order. I know one guy that got a Hoyt 38Pro from a shop here in WI in a target color in just 12 days. Pretty cool when everyone is saying that Hoyt is taking 4-6 weeks.

Not counting the day I ordered my Vectrix, it arrived in 11 days.
Back on topic - the Vulcan imo doesn't look or feel like the Vectrix at all. They both use the same limbs and cams but the riser designs are totally different. The Vulcan is clearly a reflex design and the Vectrix though not truly a deflex, is much moreso than the Vulcan. The two bows feel different in the hand and shoot that way as well. I almost ordered the Vulcan instead of the Vectrix except my inexperience rendered the Vulcan "touchy" in my hands. However, if you're a seasoned archer, I can't see you going wrong with the Vulcan... beautiful, crisp clean look, quiet, and fasssst!

If you have to order it, you might want to check on the wait time...My brother ordered a Vuldan 30" DL, #70, and it's been two months so far..
Sweet bow though, Worth the wait.
