Default Used bow ????

Wanting a new bow pretty bad .
Problem is they can be pricy .
Yes I no you can cut corners on Make , brand , add ons etc..
But when you have it boiled down to one bow and your having 2nd thoughts because of the exspence .
Should I opt for a used bow , To be specific I,m looking at a Bowtech Tribute .
I want every thing new or like new. My present bow is 16 years old so everything is of stone age .
Best deal for everything Bow , sight, rest , lupe , case , quiver, release ,
stablizer ,6 arrows ,peep and all paper tuned is $1,000. (2007 )Tribute
All assesories are decent brands not just cheap parts .
Ive sean used Tributes 2006 gro for abought $680. everything but release .
I can save close to $300. , but no warranty unless its new in box .
Then it wont sell for $680.

Any thoughts ???????
Opinions ???

I never bought a used bow, but I have sold 3 Mathews on Ebay.

Theonly thought I have is to try and buy one from someone that you know. Even though a lot of these pieces are pretty tough, you never know what someone is doing with a bow or how they are taking care of it. $600+ is still a nice chunk of change.

You can get some nice bows for that much fully loaded and brand new. Take a ride over to your local shop and take a look.

Check out ArcheryTalk Classifieds. You can get some great deals on there. I picked up an 05 ProTec that was never set up for $400 on eBay.Talk to the person first and get to know them some. Not hard to do with AT oreBay. Yes you don't getthe warrenty butif you save $300 and do have a problem how muchdo limbs really cost. Now Igot mine because I didn't have the money to goget a new target bow right now but I couldswing a"used" one and get it all set up like I wanted. If you really want the new one then go for it and maybe just use some of your older gear for now like Stabilizer, quiver, release etc.... Good luck to you and just shoot whatever it is that you get. Don't put it in the closet until the season gets here.

you could get a new reflex for less than that and still add your accessories. Reflex has some nice models out this year.

I bought my hoyt used, I bought it from a shop I know very well and they inspect everything and they advised me that it had been shot maybe 10 times, and I got over 100 off the price of the bow just because it had been shot before.

It all depends on what you have in your area I suppose.
