What does everyone recommend as far as a good quality rest both at the range/3-D shootsand in the woods. I like the idea of the Whisker Biscuit for the woods but I am apprehensive about accuracy issues ... nor do I want to get into "trimming" any whiskers off of the rest. So with that saidI am a little skeptical about the precision of a WB.
Basically I'm looking for a good target rest that holds the arrow on the rest similar to the WB.
I'll be using it on a BowTech Allegiance or Tribute, carbon arrows, @70#

I use a WB, haven't trimmed any whiskers, and haven't had any accuracy issues (have actually "robin-hooded" 6 arrows). I personally like the WB. Not saying it's the best or worst, It's the one I like.
If you like the containment aspect of the WB take a look at the NAP Quick-tune 360.
There are lots of good rests out there, just get the one you're most confident in. That's my $.02 worth. Good luck.

I would look into a drop away style rest. I see lots of guys hunting and shooting 3-D with them. It seems to be the trend now. Personally I don"™t use them 2 many moving parts for my taste.

I too like the Whisker Biscuit and there is no need to trim anything or modify it in any way. Just make sure you get the correct size opening for the arrows you are shooting and it will work just fineand be as accurate as you can possibly be.

If you want a full containment drop away style, the APA Twister is IMO as good as it gets. I have been using one for 2 + years without any issues. Its as accurate as any rest I've used and is more than adaquate for shooting spots indoor. Just tonight I shot sub one inch groups at 20 yards and busted two nocks with it. In the treestand, you can stand on your head if you prefer and your arrow will never leave the rest. Plus, its very quiet. Can you tell I love this rest?

As far as popular "target" rests, one of the most popular is the ProTuner blade rest. Very simple and lots of top archers have them. Downside is that arrowscan bouce off the blade when you draw. Usually that happens when someone is trying to pull too much draw weight. Nice rest with lots of easy adjustability.
As far as hunting rests, geez- there's tons out there that are all quality items. There's full containment, drop away, prong springs, etc...
I tend to like drop-aways. Lots of good ones out there. I've liked Trophy Takers and haven't seen a good reason to switch to something else. I got tired of switching between "target" rests and "hunting" rests, so I just started to leave my TT on there for everything. And with good results (for me).
Some guys I know have seen there scores go up when going from a dropaway to a normal target rest. But for me, I've shot more 60X games with a TT than I have with any other rest.

I have an 06 Tribute, & went from a fall away to a WB. But then again, when I'm target shooting, I really am practicing for hunting. Points are not my priority. I myself believe that's what I should be practicing with to keep my hunting skills up. It depends on what is most important to you. Don't get me wrong though, I do like the fall aways, but my fall away had a 2 prong type rest & the arrow did come off a couple of times. No worse sound in the woods than arrow bouncing of theshelf when its dead quite.
