New String Style ????????

I saw the most interesting string and cables on 3 bows this weekend at a 3-D shoot. They were on new Hoyt bows. The string were not hoyt strings.Instead of the ends being split in 2 (like a Y) they where split into 4(like a fork). It was hooked up outside limbs like it should be, but also between limb and cam. So it was: sting/limb/string/cam/string/limb/string. I don"™t know if any one has seen this or knows why you would do this. New stuff always makes me wonder, new marketing idea or function?
