Default Something I'd like to see on all bows....

Rear mount stabilizer holes.

With the popularity of STS's, I'd like to see all bows come with both front and rear mount stabilizer bushings. Most people prefer rear mount STS's but alot of bows do not have rear mount stab holes like most Hoyts for example. I think rear mount STS's look better and work better than front mount versions. My next bow MUST have a rear stabilizer hole....

Just my two cents....

I have a Ross CR331 and it has both front and rear stabilizer bushings. I like it alot. I think all of the Ross bows have the front and rear.

Yes I have and still think it is a gimmic.

But each to their own if you like it then good for you.

I am not a big fan of the gimmics but I will have to say that the STS does serve a purpose and I tried one merely out of frustration with a particular bow.It had a lot of string vibration and nothing was working.

A friend had one so I tried it,CURED.It took the vibration and eliminated it.It also helps keep the string from hitting your hunting clothes.

Hoyt has put the hole in the back of the riser this year on most models,BUT they also put there own style STS in it.[:-]

I am one to definitely say its not a gimmick. While I don't think it helps accuracy much, you can't deny the vibration and sound dampening qualities of them. I just ordered a custom one for my Allegiance from a guy on AT. His look tons better than the original STS and work as good. Uses the same stopper as the STS as well as the bowjax on the the rod.

Plus, like mentioned, if it helps keep the bowstring away from your arm with heavy clothes on, even better.

I agree with you guys.

All I'm sayin' is give us the hole! If you want to use it, great. If not, great. But I'd like the option....

all Newberry bows have this feature
they also have 5/16 threaded holes on the sife of the riser at both ends so you can install doinkers on the risers for additional noise and vibedampening but is not needed
I shoot super light weight arrows and have no noise or shock issues with my bow.
