Duravanes are good. I have yet to find a vane I don't like if it's from a reputable company. Just don't buy the cheap ones and you'll be happy.

Default RE: what kind of vanes?

The hot sellers these days are the Quick Spins and Blazers. On a personal note I use Duravane LP-400.

There are vanes and there are good vanes. Price usually determines quality. I have weighed many on a grain scale and some just don't measure up, varying as much as 4.5 grains within a pack of 50. That is bad. Talk about throwing an arrow out of balance!!!!

The Duravanes I weighed only varied about .2 grains, weighing in at an average 6.5 grains each. Blazer run about 5 grains each from what I hear.

Ihaven't checked out too many more. Like most guys, I find what I think is best for me and don't have to waste time and money on more. Besides, I like feathers better. They look more cool. LOL.
