Default opinions on good bow for a new archer

I have a buddy that wants to get into archery. I am wondering if anyone could recomend some good in expensive bows that are forgiving. Just looking for opinions from some people other than myself thak you all very much,and merry christmas

You could look at Diamond, the Fred Bear bows, or even some of the new Mathews line of value bows, Mission Archery. They are all good shooters. If he is new, get him FIT to the bow, or he will not have as much fun. Also consider getting a 50-60 lb bow, as it will be easier to start out with, and will still do anything he wants, including hunt.

I would look at Martin Archery. Many bows designed for the medium price. Excellent quality. also, Browning has a couple of new bows that are nice to, PSE has a few too!!! Good luck.
