Default Turning down the # on the guardian?

My shoulder is killing me so I need to turn it down to about 60# but the directions have me confused. It says for every 360 turn on both sides, it drops 2.5 pounds. Simple enough.

Then it says, do not go more than 2.5 360 turns? Thats only 5.5 pounds I can adjust, am I missing something here?

That is true for the other BowTech Binary cam bows....

On my Guardian between 3/4's of a turn and 1 full turn on both limbs equals roughly 1 pound.

So, how many turns to get it to 60#s? The site says it will go from 50-70#s so how on earth do I get to 50#s if I can go a max of 2.5 turns?

And what do you mean by 3/4 a turn AND 1 turn =1 pound? I thought you only have to turn the allen bolts on the limbs, is there something else I have to turn as well?

By turning the limb bolts between 3/4's of a turn and 1 full turn equals one pound in draw weight on my bow.

In other words 1 full turn is a little over 1 pound on my bow.

OK so how would you turn yours down to 60 Buck? If what you say is true, you would need 10 360 degree turns per limb yet the manual says not to exceed 2.5 turns.

I would tell you exactly how many turns it takes on my bow to go from 70# to 60# but my Easton draw force mappers batteries are nearly dead and it is reading incorrectly because of this.

While you can turn this bow way down, I personally wouldn't turn it down more than5# so as to maintain a proper 'performance' level.

Also, why not just take it back to your Dealer to have itturned down? There should be "no charge" for this service and you'll then know how many actual turns it takes to get where you want.

Well the shop is pretty far away, about 45 mins or so. Plus I want to learn how to do simple things like this myself.

I'm kinda confused why I wont get good performance out of 60#s when people say they shoot through deer with 40-50#s.

Is it bow specific?
