Default Montana Black Gold Flashpoint

I am looking at putting a Montana BG Flashpoint 5 pin 0.030" on my new bow. Does anyone have any input about this sight? To me it looks like a great sight. Just wanting to know if any one has had any problems with it.

I had 3 brought into the shop this year destroyed. The pins are plastic if I am thinking of the right model and the photochromatic cover on the fiber is very fragile and came in broke several times by customers. For that kind of money I would be looking at something made of metal.

I shoot one and love it. I was told that ALL the parts on the sight are guaranteed for life and if it get's broke just bring it in and they will replace it.

I went to sight it in lastnight and had to lower the sight window down to the top third of the mounting bracket. My 20yd pin is in the lower half of the sight window. To raise the pin in the window I would have to lower the window even more and then it will interfear with my arrow. Where it is set now I only have room for a 20 and 30 yrd pin. Anyone else have this problem? I am shooting a Hoyt Vectrix XL.

I shoot a hoyt vortec and mine is on the top 1/3 too, but had no problem getting 20-30-40-50. I don't think mine would go down far enough to hit the arrow.

Gibsonhoyt,
You must have a really high anchor. The sight wont change where you aim at since 20 yards on one sight will be in the same place on any sight . You are going to have to lower your anchor so that your sight pins will raise up on your sight block

I shoot fingers, one on top two under and I put the top finger in the corner of my mouth. I just might have to live with using the bottom half of my sight window.

Look at the black gold radiant with skycoil technology. I have these on my bows and truly bright pins before and after legal light. Wel made and durable.
