Default Help with Bowtech

There are no Bowtech dealers close to me so I'm unable to see them in person. I have been looking at them on there site and see three that I think I would be interested in. The extreme solo-mighty mite and the tech 29.I like the old style bows (just old I guess)and the extreme solo looks like what I want. It's 35", which is close to my minium on ATA and the speed and weight look about right. I would shoot 60 lbs. at 27" and hope to come close to 1 pin to 30 yards. Would appricate any input on this bow or any of the Bowtech's that would suit my specs. Thanks Don

I did read your post and although I don't think you'll be dissapointed with anything I would HIGHLY recommend the Patriot. The Pat is in the length area you like and it's smootheness, quieltness and accuracy will make you happy.

I'm certain you wouldn't regret the Pat - even though it's a 'new style' bow.

get the Patriot

get the Patriot

get the Patriot

I have three Bowtech bows, an Extreme Solo (70 pounds) and two Stalkers, a leftie and a rightie. I also have a
Parker 31.

I did not like the balance of the Patriot when I picked it up, although I have to say that most of the people on these sites who own Patriots are fanatical about them. The new (2003) Patriots are supposed to be a bit lighter and have a different balance to them. Basically I would not buy one without trying it.

The Extreme Solo is a more conventional compound bow, so the risk of getting it sight unseen is less. The quality is high and I think you would be happy with it. But my favorites are the Stalkers, because they are so light. I really like light bows, and don't mind a little reaction (the Stalkers do not have the sand trap technology of the Extreme Solo, nor the great high quality strings). I like the Parker 31 too for the same reason, really light.

Don, I have a Mighty Mite and really like it. I sold a 2002 Pat and ordered a 2003 DC. Check out the MM if you are interested in a short, accurate bow. Or, maybe wait on the 2003 Pat. Weight will be close, and ATA will be closer to what you like. Can't wait for January.

Thanks guys, I have a Parker feather mag II and except for the speed, I'm totally satisfied. The Parker is not slow but I would really like less drop at 30 yards.I to like light bows and the patriot seems to be a little heavy for what I need. I also had a MQ1 with the new style riser and limbs. It was the quietest bow I have ever shot and had 0 hand shock but it just didn't work for me. The Parker has a tad of hand shock but just feels right and shoots great. I am going to find a shop and call them. If they have the bows you mentioned, I will drive there and try them out. Thanks again, Don

Hey Trushot, I'm not sure of the speed but would guess about 230 fps.I am shooting 60 lbs. at 27" with Easton carbon epics that weight 344 grs. with 100 gr. head. I may be a little low on my estimate but at 30 yards with my 20 yard pin, I'm hitting about 6" low. This is not bad but I would like a little range estimation room. Don
