grayling jig how to?

if someone could be so kind as to list a set of guidelines to follow to fletch arrows with a grayling so i dont screw up on my first try.

It's pretty difficult to do wrong, actually. You see the magnet that the clamp holds to? Well, there are 2 knobs that you can loosen and change the angle (offset) of the clamp. Place an arrow in the jig, and w/ a fletch in the clamp (no glue) make sure the fletch is lying flat on the arrow. If it isn't, loosen the knob and move the clamp until it is. If the fletch is lying flat, you'll know it when you see it.

After that, using the marks on the clamp as a tool to ensure you put each fletch on in the same place, run a small bead of glue down the fletch, place clamp on jig, and set. Nothing to it.

ok so you just turn the arrow with the back part that you nock it so it is equal each time and line up the fletchings the same

as for removing old fletch and cleaning the shaft...
removing old fletch/cement is a pain with carbon arrows...i have notfound the perfect method for that....it takes me awhile to do mine but i just use a razor bladeto remove and 95% rubbing alchohl to clean...its a pain with carbon...and a lot easier on aluminium arrows in my experience. so i use feathers instead of vanes and use bohning fletch tape to fletch my arrows...its a lot easier to remove or if you want vanes use an arrow wrap they make it alot easier...just peel off the wrap and clean the shaft

Removing fletching and glue is actually quite simple, with the proper tools. Eithera Zip Strip or a serrated pocket knife work very well to remove fletching and glue, then alcohol to clean any residue.

mobow does the Ez-strip tool really work??? cuz i thought about getting it! i didnt cuz i just figured it was a gimmick. there is a little thing(curved hook with a chizeled edge kind of thing)on my multitool that seems to do a better job than a razor...but i almost always forget to use it out of habbit

Dude, it will be the best $14 you ever spend, especially if you fletch arrow a lot. Yes, it works beautifully. I have one at the shop and stripping fletching has become a very simple task. Once you get the hang of it, you don't even need to go back over it and get the glue you missed, because you won't miss any. There's a little trick to it that I can't explain, you just have to use it...it's all in the angle of the blade.....

I just re-read your post....I'm not talking about the EZ strip from NAP....this is something else...let me do some looking to see if I can find it...

[8D]i know what you mean about the "angle" i noticed that with my muti- tool but couldnt get the perfect angle due to the fact that it isnt designed for stripping fletch.
