Default Super Noisy Hoyt

I have a 2004 Hoyt MT Sport. It has a heriffic noise when I release. Sounds like a can of marbles. I have taken everything off the bow except a lizard tongue rest and the Dloop. Still it rattles. Any ideas or has wayone had this problem before? The cable and string are in good shape.

If everything is tight I think you have a mechanical problem in the pockets or cams. Definetly something is loose. Did this just happen or has it been getting worse over time?

I just got it used from a guy, and took it to the Archery Shop to tune it and they are even baffled as to were the noise is coming from. Any ideas?

My first thought was a loose cam module. Double check all the screws in the cam(s) and make sure they are all snug.

I have checked every screw on that bow including the grip. Thanks though

I would assume that you have string silencers installed, right? Are you shooting an extremely light arrow? Just a couple thoughts.

Had leeches on the string but even took them out. Shooting Gold Tip 5575 and 100 grain tips. Had the same noise with the leeches on the string.

Go ahead and take off the rest too. Unlikelyfora restto be making that muchnoise but do it anyway, just to be sure. If it still rattles, the only thing left to do is a complete teardown and inspection. Maybe the former owner was smuggling ball bearings in the limb pockets or something.

Could be, but the rest is the second I had on there, had a WB on first. Guess its teardown time.

check the grip... sometimes the grips come loose and you get a bad vibration in there... How's the hand shock when you shoot it?
