Default setting up a new trykon

first post !!!

can i get some suggestions on setting up a new bow? im getting a trykon xl and would like all top quality accessories (doesnt mean most expensive, just top quality) am allready looking at a cobra 5 pin site but havnt picked anything else out yet. i will be using it for much target shooting and a couple weeks per year hunting deer. what is the best choice for a the rest if i want exceptional accuracy as well as hunter friendly? also what stabilizer, release, and or bow upgrades will i need? thanks

I just sold my Trykon to make way for a Vectrix. I tried the Schaffer rest and it fit great and looked good, but it was a bear to try to get fletch clearance. I shot ok with that rest, but it wasn't to the full potential of what the bow would do. I switched to a NAP Smartrest (dropaway) and it worked like a charm. Real easy to tune. Another item to consider is an STS string suppressor. The Trykon's have a bit of a string noise, like a mild buzzing noise that you'll be able to hear, but those around you won't hear. It really isn't a big deal if you use a peep with a rubber tube, but then you lose a few FPS in speed. I recommend the STS. I used a Fuse stabilizer. It worked out well for me. God Luck and enjoy your new Bow.

for a rest I would say Infiniti fallaway is my favoritethe rest has back tension both directions so it will work either way this rest also has several launcher combinations my second pick is the TKO cause there are a few laying around and it is a good rest

I use 4"tranquilizer screwed into the end of a 7" Carbofast stabelizer the carbofast is for weight and the tranq is to absorb extra shock works very well.
any thing from simms is good except for string leeches I like tied on cat wiskers for string silencers they work as good as any thing and look good if they are put on right.

you can make a pretty nice braided bow sling with a small piece of leather and 3 leather shoe laces (personal effects)

I modify a Archers choice clear view peep into a tubless peep

scotts Grip release is a good one

Arrows: I would either go with Carbon Revolution or Easton

BhoningBlazer vanesand turboNockT4or tune a nock are both good (turbonocks spin a lot better) turbonock wouldmake excellent combination with blazer vanes for large diamiter fixed blade heads. really work well at stabelizing the arrow.

Wasp Boss Bullets to tip off the arrow.

I like the Vital Bow Gear sites for brightness but I think the Spott-Hogg would be a good site as well.

I completely agree with adding an STS to your bow. Do yourself a favor and put a set of cheap rubber cats whiskers on it too and the string buzz is gone. The bow is very quiet from my standpoint.

I like my QAD dropaway rest and arrows fletched with 5" vanes and a good helical.I also prefer an Alpine detachable quiver on this bow. This is my second rig with the Alpine quiver. It works well for me.
