Default Ordered a new Muzzy rest

and some of it is Greg/Mo's fault. After his great review and some of the members positive posts, I am trying one. I also called Muzzy and they assured me the New Generation model for parallel limb bows would work great and were first designed with the Patriot and Extreme VFT models in mind. I am a little concerned with the idea of crossing the cables above the cable guard, so we will see/experiment with that. To be honest, I have NEVER seen a Muzzy rest on a bow before. Should be fun setting it up and tuning my bow back in. Its mid-October so I have plenty of time to get it right.

Coug, I know you're gonna like that rest... If you don't, you can blame Matt / PA...

Cougar, what bow do you shoot? I have one on my Patriot and it's awesome. What is your concern with the cables crossing above the cable guard vs below?

Mike, I am hunting with a 2005 Patriot. My concern is most bow manufacturers including Bowtech recommend the cables crossing below the upper cable guard, although Muzzy says to cross the cables above the upper guard. I actually tore up a new set of cables on a Martin bow by crossing the cables above the guard before I realized what I had done.[&:] I suppose it has a lot to do with the cable slide and clearance between cables.

Mine's been on for about 1000 shots and so far my cables look no worse at all.

I know it's a completely different bow ('06 Allegiance), but I left my cables crossing below... no problems so far.
