Default A need to know w/ a release

Been shooting w/ fingers for a long time now, with a 46" bow@ 68 #,2317s 600 grain,(logs). Now I brought the new Hoyt Magna Tec. w/zr200 limbs 38" bow ,kinda gives me finger pinch !is there a big difference in a wrist strap, compaired to the glove type like the Winn freeflight release.which would you prefer? & why ? How often do you have to reserve the sting shooting a release? With so many arrow rests which one is dependale shooting carbons w/ a release ? Thanks & Happy turkey day

I use the Tru Fire Huricane, smoothest release ever, i used to use the Winn but changed up whe I felt this one.

I use the Bodoodle Pro Lite rest, works great with carbs.

Shooting a BK II, 70 lbs, 30" draw.

Good judgment comes from years of bad judgment.

Default RE: A need to know w/ a release

I was using a Tru Fire glove release and had trouble maintaining an anchor point. My anchor point kept changing due to the glove sliding slightly. I never noticed the movement until I came to full draw. I recently switched to a T handle and don't regret it one bit. I can still pull more weight than with a wrist strap, and the anchor point is always the same.

I agree with JDoyle about GK rests. I have a GK Premier and GK 3D rover on my bows, and I haven't had any trouble at all with the various carbons or carbon/aluminum arrows I shoot.
