As a finger shooter I'm always interested in fellow finger shooters' setups. Maybe we can learn something from each other. Post your finger shootin' rig here. My bow is a Bowtech Pro 40 with liberty cam. I use a TR Dropzone Freestyle rest which works well (surprised me). For my fingers I use a tab and my Beman arrow have Blazer vanes on them.
My finger shooting setup is a 52 lb longbow. No sights, no rest, no quiver. Just a tab and heavy arrows with feathers on 'em. I'm not sure that's what you were hoping to get for an example, but it is what I use. When I switch to my compound, I also switch mindsets. I use a sight, rest, release, stabilizer - most of the normal "help me shoot better" items. Though I still use those heavy arrows with feathers on 'em.
I'm not really sure what you are asking, but I shoot fingers with my Longbows and Recurves. Weights vary from about 50#-65# at 29". Bow lengths vary from 60 inches to 66 inches. All shot off the shelf. Currently, I'm using a Bateman glove with inserts.

I shoot a bowtech constitution. I have a trap door rest modified to accept of cushion plunger(needed IMO). Use Viper sights, STS, and a homemade tab(identical to a cavalier tab) shooting 2 under.
For HuntingI shoot Beman ICS 340's with 100 grain points at 60lbs.
For targets I shoot 56lbs with easton lightspeed 500's with 65grain points.

With my bum shoulders, I've had to retire my beloved longbow and recurves and the compound only gets very limited action any more. Lately, I've been mostly shooting a midieval style crossbow that I made.

Sorry to hear that you can't shoot your traditional gear. That's got to hurt more than just your shoulders. If you can post a photo of that self-made crossbow, I'd love to see it.
