I want to learn how to tune my own bow, mainly because I want to be able to be self sufficent.
I have a Bowtech, and would like a book that focuses on the new technologies. I thought there was a post on this recently, but I was not able to locate it, even with a search (Think I needto learn how to search?)
Anyway, any suggestions on the best book on how to tune your bow?
Thanks again

Though I may not agree with what you say, I will defend to the death your right to say it.
Yeah, I have that saved, but there are alot of other "tricks" and ideas that arent listed there. I am looking for a book with alot of inside knowledge and precedures that might not be listed in the Easton guide.

To be honest,I don't really know of any book that covers everything in detail to my taste or preferred methods of tuning. Tuning a bow has very few absolutes, most everyone will do it differently in a lot of areas even when you are looking at very experience techs or top notch shooters. Some have better advice than others.
I have found the internet to be a better source of information on tuning than any particular book that I know of. You have to be careful about who you take info from though.........I see a lot of crap info. Some of the better sources of info I have seen are the bow tuning forum on Archerytalk.com as well as Archerylive.com. Another thing I would recommend for you highly is to go to a session w/ George Ryals. He is up in Auburn and currently working with Copper John and on Hoyt's National staff and one of the most highly respected coaches in this part of the country. He does occasional seminars around the northeast but they are pricey.......like $200+ per person. He is the owner of Archerylive.com and you can contact him there under his screen name GRIV about when he might be doing seminars that you can attend. This will be one of the best $200 you can spend as he covers tuning, form, does some coaching, etc.
There was a guy on Archerytalk selling DVD's under the screen name LeEarl that had some fantastic reviews from people that I respect quite a bit.........don't think he is still selling them but you might be able to find one used.
