Default nocks and fletching

So I just had my arrows refletched and when I brought them home I noticed that the vanes will not work with my prong-style rest. I chose white for my cock feather but instead of it being centered with the nock groove, if that makes sense, it is completely perpendicular to it, 90 degrees. So if I do shoot them, fletching contact will be inevitable. Any quick fixes? Is it possible to move/remove the nock and replace it? I need them in tip top shape for this weekend and don't have time to wait in the refletching line. Thanks for your help guys/gals!

Are they glue ons or G Nocks that insert into your arrows. If they are inserted, rotate them. If they are glued on, you need to remove them and glue new ones on. You need to specify for the builder. A very inexpensive fix either way.

So how do you remove nocks that are glued in?

ollie, the nocks that insert into your arrow shaft shouldn't be glued in, they push in and stay and usually you can turn them. The only nocks that are glued are the over the end nocks.

Raxxmaster is correct in his thinking. If you have G nocks, rotate them. If your nocks are glued over the end point of the arrow, you'll need to remove them with a knife or other razor and glue on new ones in the correct position.

I have Beman carbons that have Direct-fit Super Nocks installed. Anyone know if they are adjustabe or glued?

Before you try to remove them , put a quarter in the nock slot and try turning it . Using the quarter gives you some leverage ....

ollie,

Your nocks can be rotated unless someone did a dumby and glued them. Frankly, with most carbon shafts you can just clip them on the string and then twist the arrow, eyeballing the fletch for orientation. Then shoot and check for clearance. Retwist a little if needed.
