I just wasted $50 on this stupid target. I shot it a total of 8 times and have ripped large chunks out of it. The cover said that it can be shot thousands of times per side. BS. Has anyone else hade this problem and is there a good durable broadhead target out there?

Where did you buy it from?
I would attempt a return, the worse they could say is no.

The morrell yellow jacket works. (broadheads only)

The Rinehart 18-1 target works very well for a broadhead target.

I have been literally hammering mine and have just gotten to the point where I need to switch to the 2nd of 18 possible target faces.

Ok so I sent a e-mail to Tru-glo, asking them about the target and explaining my situation. I spent all day at work thinking about what I could be doing wrong. And I think I have found it, I have been shooting my "pre-season" Montecs, they are not sharp so they are not cutting a clean entry. This means that I do not have a clean way out. So I let my tribute place some of the hunting montecs (dead on by the way) and it did not rip it up as bad. I am still not impressed with the target but now embarrassed that I did not try the sharp heads before e-mailing Tru-glo. Live and learn.
