Default Lumenocks

I want to try lumenocks this year but did anyone have to shoot a bigger weight broadhead to compensate for the 22 added grains at the nock end? With the lumenock, my FOC is around 8.5%.To get an acceptable FOC of almost 11% I need to add a 125 gr head. That puts my arrows at around 420 grains and at 60 lbs I don't want that kinda weight because I'm already at around 250 fps.

Before I go and buy them, didn't anyone notice any tuning issues when they used a lumenock?

I'm also trying luminocks for the first time this year,,,,,,I've heard they fly the same and I shot mine a few times and it shot fine, I've heard though that if you hit a deer 9 time out of 10 it's going to shut the light off, not sure if this is true will find out though.

I shoot A/C/C 3-60s and have noticed no flight problems with them. I also have never had one turn off after shooting an animal either.

Mike, I also shoot the 3-60, and didn't realize they would fit in them. I suppose you had to take the uni bushing out, right? What other steps did you need to do so they fit?

I shoot the blazers. I guess I'll give it a try and see how they shoot.

Yes you haveto remove the uni-bushing. I then took a .22 cal brass bore cleaning brush and attached it to a cordless drill and cleaned up the inside of the arrow. They work like a champ. There was a couple that I had to lightly sand to get them to fit just right. I have also made some homemade ones that use a wooden dowel inside the arrow with a red thill light that allows me to keep the uni-bushing and G-nock. So far they have worked out suprisingly well but they are not as bright as the Lumenoks.
