I am in the market to purchase a digital grain scale, and was wondering what people are using and the pros/cons of the scales available out there.
My primary use is for checking my archery equipment and reloading - although I don't reload much anymore, mainly for checking my loads periodically to make sure I am within tolerances.
I would like one that read to 1/10 of a grain, and would be able to handle a completed arrow. I am guessing around 700 grain capacity would handle anything I would need.
gtoussey, see my thread a few below this... Seems Rick James has compared the identical scale I just purchased to one of his shop's really expensive models, and it held its own...
I bought a pocket digital scale off EBAY for about $16 (included shipping) .
It works great . I checked it out with my scale weight for my balance beam scale .
I bought one of the cabela's branded digital scales. I like it for reloading. It measures in tenths. I don't know who makes it but looks alot like rcbs brand equip.
