Is there any benefit, disadvanate to tieing the draw cable from a fall away rest to the cable instead of string?...i already have a peep and it just seems too much, so i did it to the cable, and it works perfect.....will it hurt anythign?

I agree! I've seen them hooked to the cable slide or thecable but never the string. You tied it in the right place and no it won't hurt anything.
