Default fletch position with WB?

when i got my bow i had just a basic 2 prong arrow rest and i was instrused by the proshop to load and nock the arrow woith the odd colored fletch down, then when i swithed to a WB he told me to do the exact opposite and have the odd colored fletch directly up....i tried shooting the arrow through my WB today with the odd color down like i was told with the 2 prong rest and it shoots MUCH better but tears the fletching off 2X faster.....what am i doing wrong here?

See those different colored whiskers on the bottom of the bisquit, I don't have one but I believe they are a different stiffness there. That might be it.

You got me there. All of the ones I've seen have a bunch of black fibers on the bottom and the rest are dark brown, so I'll make the assumption that they are different. Why else have the different color except to note orientation so that that one type is what the arrow rests on. The web site does suggest shooting cock-feather up.

Reguardless of If you shoot with your fleteching down or up just put a dab of glue on the first 1/8 inch ofall 3fletchings and leave a little bead of glue at the end. That will stop the wb from tearing the fletchings off.
