Default Hoyt cams

Does anyone know if the Hoyt excel cam is the same as the old saber cam? I have a 2001 Ultratec sabercam targetbow and love it and am thinking of buying a 2002 with the excel cam for hunting if it is the same. Thanks for any help! Rick

For all practical purposes, yes, they are the same cam. You will get the same smooth draw cycle and the same easy transition into the valley. As for whether they are physically identical in terms of geometry, size, etc....I am not sure. Though I would be willing to bet they are darn close.
