Default 2004 Bowtech Patriot Limb - BOOM!

I was at the shooting range this Saturday sighting in my Patriot when I noticed it seemed to be louder than usual. I have been careful to keep an eye on my limbs after hearing about the limb cracks that had been plauging Bowtech owners. I had not shot my bow for 6 months due to a work injury and I had just began to enjoy shooting again and when I looked at the top limb just in front of the Bowtech Logo, there was a hairline crack! I take care of my equipment and I was careful to store my Bow properly. So why did this happen and is it a design flaw? I would appreciate any input. I reside in Ontario, Canada, so would there be any problems replacing my limbs?

Take the bow back to the shop you brought it from and they will get the replacement limbs for it.

Bowtech's warranty is top notch.

Guelph299,
Thats a bummer. If you are the original owner of the bow then it has a lifetime warranty. If in fact you are just take it to the BOW SHOP in Waterloo and those guys will handle everything for you they are pros. If its not on warranty because you bought it used then they will still have it repaired for you but at your expense. You can find used limbs sometimes on the internet or order them direct from Bowtech ( it will have to go through the Ontario Distributor which is North Sylva outof Toronto ).
