Default Youth bow ? - I could use your input

I posted this at bowhunting.com. I then realized it is probably more of a technical type question so I posted it here. Sorry for the double post. Anyway, here is the situation and question.

My son who is 12 is 150 lbs and is 5'6" wants to follow in his old man's footsteps and bowhunt. I bought a Mathews SQ2 last year and gave him my HCA Ultra. Now the bow's safest lowest poundage is 55# - a weight he can't yet pull back. Should I buy him a bow he can pull back or should I wait until he can use the HCA? If you think I should buy him a bow, what do you recommend? I don't want to buy a $600 bow and put $500 worth of accessories on it like I did. I would like to keep it around $500 or less for everything if possible

About 400.00 for a Bowtech Stalker, and a great bow.

call hca & ask $ for putting on new limbs that go down to the # he can pull back . if he can pull back 40# get 50# limbs installed & have it set at 40# & can turn # up as needed & he can use the set up you had for about $125.00 I think that is what they are getting for that or call a dealer by you & see what they would charge .
How could you switch over to that other brand? you should have check out the carbons!!!hopfully he does'nt follow to closely to your footsteps
hope this helps
