I can not find it again, but I keep seeing stuff(several posts or comments) about the guide on the 05 Allegiance chewing up strings a little bit. From what I read the Hicks slide will prevent this (Lancaster archery) but I also saw something about a Newbwerry Universal Roller Guide for the Allegiance. Is this correct? I always thought by design the roller guides would be more efficient and effective (Ie. Swithcback etc.). Is this accurate? Finally...If it would be worth buying one where can you purchase one easily. Thankls for your tima and thoughts.
Here is a link for them, I just ordered one for my Newberry bow. Call Richard and Rebecca; they'll tell you if it will work on your bow. As far as I know, you pretty much have to order direct from them right now anyway. They may even be able to send it to you pre-trimmed if you know the length it should be (or they may already know from other installs they've done). They're about $50-$60.
do you need to serve your string/cable(s) to use it?

I have heard that people are not noticing any unusual wear to them without additional serving, but it shouldn't hurt anything to do it if one wishes to.
