I know its bad to store a bow in the cold but how bad is it and what can I do? Im a college student and when I left for college after christmas my mom moved my bow from my room to our garage. I shot it the other day and it seemed like it was off considerably but it was my first time shooting this year and it might just me. What should I do?

Don't know for sure , but I would think heat would be alot worse than cold on your bow.

I dont think the cold will hurt the bow,at least I hope not[8D]
I hunt all day hunts in the -c temps getting as low as -20c plus and my bow will still shoot the same as it would in a indoors heated shop.If the bow isnt performing to its intended task then I know its me.
I agree with the above statement and think the heat would hurt a bow over time more then the cold will
I don't think the cold will hurt them either. I have several bows and a few of them I keep in my shed all winter and it doesn't seem to hurt them any. Now if it was an older wood bow I don't know for sure, I would check with someone that shoots traditional equipment. I also shoot in the winter (michigan winters) and it doesn't effect my bow any at all. It does effect me though.
The worst things for your bow are high tempratures (trunk or hatchback on hot day), direct sunlight and moisture. Like keeping one in a wet basement or something. I don't think it is very good for the strings.

Cold's not as bad as heat and even the heat would have to be exceptional (like in the back of a closed up car in the summer in Arizona). The cold shouldn't have had an effect on it, just ask Ralph and Vicki they just shot muskox at -17*F and -26*F.[&:]

If you switch the extrems fast then it could (very hot to very cold)
