a hair dryer on high hot will straighten them out. there are other ways too. i use a knife to get them off.

The biggest problem you have is that you are using straw bales. Man, our club quit using them 25 years ago simply because they are not dense enough to stop arrows from compound bows. You're going to continue having this problem till you get a good target, no matter what fletching you use.

As Gibblet says, you can use a hair dryer to help straighten them out, but this is only a temporary fix.

As stated the straw bails suck!! If you get a high density foam target they are pretty cheap. I use a straight razor and scrape off the old fletch, but you have to be careful and scrape it with the sharp edge of the blade faceing away from the direction of the way yur scraping. A greyling fletcher is less then $30.00 and does a great job. They last for ever and pay for themself. Practice with it and you will fletch like a pro in no time. The only point I can give a new arrow builder is don't use too much glue. It seems like every one who starts wants to use a tone of glue on their fletchings.
