Default cable dampeners/silencers etc.

I am lucky enough to live right beside a bass pro shop, and I saw something called cable dampeners in there. It looks like a limbsaver sort of, but has a small hole in the middle, and it looks like it slides over my riser, is this assumption correct? Does anyone use these, does it help?

I'm looking to quiet my bow down more, and keep speed.

Also, does anyone put string leeches on their cables (mine is all string, but you know what I'm talking about) I was going to put one above and one below the riser on each cable. Good/bad idea, or just a waste of time. Would this be a speed robbing mistake, or would the leeches interfere with the cable movement as I'm drawing back and releasing? Any help is apprecaited, thanks.

The dampners you are reffering to go on the cable guard rod.I put leeches on string and cables. It robs some speed but speed is not everything.I like quiet

The intended use of the cable dampners is to remove even more vibration from the bow. It does this by removing vibration in the cables, a part of the bow overlooked by many. The cable rod dampners slide over your cable rod and for maximum performance need to be just touching your cable slide. Upon release, the cable slide will travel forward and contact the dampner removing excess movement and vibration!! I get teased all the time that my bow, with all the rubber keeps Goodyear in business!! Maybe, but it's the quietest bow in the shop!!

If the products are made of Navcom, they are neither from Firestone or Goodyear!

I noticed a HUGE difference after I put on the cable guard dampeners. I had tightened everything I could think of and still had a vibration sounding noise and the Limbsaver dampeners really made a big difference.
