Great post and feedback, Len... It's great to know when manufacturers are doing their part to help their distributor force win -- which obviously makes for a win-win situation, reminiscent of a franchising situation.
I know there's going to be a huge demand for slots in this school in the near future, but I'd love to attend one of these myself.

I wish I could have went. I remember speaking with a woman on the phone about "Bowtech University" and it sounded like one heck of a good deal. I am curious though Len...as WWAG mentioned...which bow did you build?
What would my BowTec dealer gain from attending that He/She doesn't already know? I mean if I'm going to be used to put the squeeze on them I at least need some facts other than just a questioning eye. How would I, the consumer, benefit?
The only thing that is evident so far (since this post is directed at the consumers and not the dealers) is that the session teaches it's participants to recruit other dealers to attend via the consumer.
I wish they would bring the classes up here in Ontario--I've always enjoyed seminars--even yours Len, held at the ATA. Plus you get to build your own bow and have your name engraved--what a bonus that is!!!
Walks: I built a Liberty. Gee, I've never built a bow before.
Jerry: I wasn't teaching. I was a student this time and learned as much as I could.
NoDog: As I said above, I learned some things and got a better understanding of where BowTech is headed in the scheme of things. Some of the classes were out of the realm of just bows. Merchandising, Business Planning, & Marketing were just a few of the other subjects covered.
Would it help your Dealer? I don't know. I know it helped me and others who attended. Even if you learn only one or two things, you sometimes never know how important they will be until you need the knowledge.
The consumer will always benefit if the Dealer learns some things. If the Dealer thinks he/she knows it all, what can I say.
I made this post because I wanted to publicly commend BowTech for taking the initiative and for wanting to make their Dealers more informed. If you thinkthis was a recruiting effort, you're very mistaken.
ampahunter: Thank you for attending my seminar(s). I hope you enjoyed yourself as much as I enjoyed giving them. I try to make them both informative and fun.
