This may be a stupid question, but help me out anyway. I like the Pendulum sight, but I heard its not good for flat ground work. I shoot 3D and hunt also, so would a Pendulum sight work or not? Thanks.
The pendulum will work for hunting, but you will more than likely want to use a fixed pin or scope system for 3-D. When you sight the pendulum in, it only gives you a limited range from the ground or from a tree.

Not true. I just bought a savage pendulum sight along with the Matrix by Trophy Ridge, both of these sights have a moving arm like a sigle pin sight. Set them for 20 and use the pendulum in the tree and mark off the yardages and shoot it like a moveable pin for the ground.
Hundo? You can tell this guy has a wad of them in his wallet at all times.

you can get pendulum sights that u can adjust for hunting on the ground, i know that trophy ridge has one, it is called the mantis v-max or something like that, i have the mantis hunter, which is a solid mount, that i used last season and i like it a lot, but didnt like that i couldn't adjust it to shoot different ranges on the ground, but if i was to purchase a pendulum sight i would get the mantis with the v-drive system.

That's what I have my eye on... The pendulum sight from Trophy Ridge.... The one called Mantis with "V drive". I use a tree stand 99.9999% of the time and am seriously looking at pendulum sights. But then again, at home in the backyard, I might practice a bit on flat land to keep myself in shape and accurate.
