I am 46 years old & just got bi focals a few months back. I can't shoot thru my peep w/both eyes open!
If I close my lefteye, my groups are left 3" @ 18 yards. That's the distance ofmy indoor range at home. I can't ever remember shooting with one eye closed.
I have been shooting this set up for 5/6 years.
55#'s @ 29"
1 or 2 pins max front sight extension 3"s w/peep sight
carbon arrows w/a release,sling & stabilizer
Should I just learn to shoot w/one eyeor get rid of the peep?
Arrows only...

I feel your pain. This is my first year shooting with "progressive" lenses. I'm having great difficulty getting everything in focus. If I look through the top of the lense, the target is in focus, but the pin is a complete blur. If I look through the bottom of the lense the pin is clear, but the target is nothing but a blob.
I'm now getting a new precription just for shooting. They will be regular lenses and larger than what's in style. This appears to be the only way I can see the target and the pin, in the manner that I'm accustomed to.
By the way, I have to shoot with both eyes open while hunting in order to feel comfortable and see my target clearly in low light. Therefore, that is how I practice. I would never do anything that would cause me to have to shoot with one eye closed.
I also have the same problem,of which, was solved with two pairs of glasses. The larger lenses with no frames around the glass for shooting, and then my reglular ones for everyday. Also, try wearing a strap that holds the glasses tight to your face. This was a graet help to me.
By the way,I shoot wiyh both eyes open....Bob
I always shoot with one eye closed, guess basically come from shooting peep sights on rifles or even scopes, or iron sights, always close one eye! I wear bifocals and with one eye, your dominant eye, you will sight for it. As I said, I shoot rifles and bows always with one eye closed. I also open them after the shot, but always one eye closed! I wear bifocals and don't have a problem shooting (archery, rifles, shotgun/skeet, etc...) I just keep using glasses with the "line" and don't bother with those newfangled progressive lenses. So many people I talked to have had troubles with them.
