I use 4" feathers and might use 5" feathers when I refletch sometime this summer. They are fletched with a full right helical.

A vane as small as 2" will stabilize a broadhead? Really?

Yes, really. I tested them last fall. Shot a 5" feather with a broadhead and a blazer with a broadhead. Shot the feather off the first arrow. They shoot great.

when from 5in vane to 5 in feathers and groups shrunk form 3in. to 1 1/2 to 2 in.

the reason the blazers work so well is due to there hight cause of their stiffness so they give less. which would also make them more durable.
