Tell me about these 2 stabilizers

First the Stealth...what makes it so good? I notice it is usually mentioned when it comes to hunting stabilizers. I really am trying to talk myself into one, but I don't see any Doinker or SVL technology in it.

2nd, anyone try the Alpine MR-2 or MR-3? I like the fact slugs can be added or taken out to change the weight, but wondering about the balance and vibration dampening qualities.

I have the Alpine MR2 and really like it. It definitely deadens the vibration.

Cougar, first let me say that I have 5 of the stealth stabilizers and they are definantly the best I have ever used as far as absorbing shock and vibration on a bow. They are designed with a 60/40 weight variation to better balance your bow or you can also turn it around if you prefer. If you add this stabilizer to an already quiet bow, it becomes DEADLY quiet. He can custom design a stabilizer for you in a length and weight that you prefer, and he is a great guy to deal with. If you try one of these, I honestly think you will be impressed. I'll just repeat what BHunter32 said........IMO Stealth stabilizers are the best at absorbing vibration noise and recoil VS. anything of a comparable weight.
Trust me, Stealth stabilizers are one of a VERY small list of products that I will blindly recommend to ANYONE. Just pick the length and weight to compliment your set up and balance it properly and the performance takes care of itself.
I will simply not have any other on my hunting bows and you know how picky I am with gear.

I just happen to also know that a 6" Stealth Hunter model in Mossy Oak Obsession would be a great fit for that new Patriot of yours.......and look darn sexy at the same time.
They are dipped at Bowtech's 'Waterdog' facility so the pattern matches the bows exactly.
On top of all that Jerry is a greatperson and you have to root for the little guy making a superior product one at a time in an archery world full of big companies ,full color ads, and the latest and greates rubber gizmo hype.

Picking a stabilizer is like picking a pair of shoes. You have to try on several models/sizes to find out which one fits best.

We have a large box of stabilizers from which we choose when 'fitting' a customer's bow. The first thing we do is 'balance' the bow properly. This is done first in the static mode, and then in the dynamic mode. This is the job we perform for the customer.

Once we find the right weight/size/distribution (extensions and offsets are sometimes used), we then try several different designs/configurations and let the customer decide which one does the best dampening job. Now we have a customer who knows that they have picked the proper stabilization for their bow set-up.

If you can find a shop that has this service, go for it. It will alleviate that 'second guessing' that always seems to prevail when there are so many choices.
