The ViperTec is a great bow, and yes, that's a good deal on it. My buddy got one......summer 2004 I believe, and payed right at $600. Is that bare bow, or set up?

It's short ATA, so it may not be as forgiving, but it is very smooth, very quiet and most accurate. I have a long draw length, so I personally don't like short ATA bows, but Brian sure likes his! He shoots it good, too. Man, that thing is quiet.

there really nice bows, short which is great for treestand, and blind hunting.and fast.Like they said before the short bows are not very forgiving for shooting targets though. But if you really want to find a good deal on them watch ebay ive seen fully loaded vipertecs go for 450 used. But 500 is still a good price

the only thing i have with buying this bow is that it is right handed and i know i can shoot right handed bows well because i have shot my friends bow. this bow just seems so nice and is at such a good price i almost would kick my self to not buy it
is there any reason i shouldn't shoot right handed even if i am left eye dominate but am right handed at everything but shooting but feel confident shooting right handed

I bought mine last year on ebay for $400. No complaints here except it shoots the arrows too fast for me to see but not really a complaint.
